Those of you who follow fashion blogs religiously will already know some of the styles we will be seeing coming into the warmer months, but just to skip over what Sportsgirl focussed on; socks & sandals or clogs are a definite can-do, along with layering accessories, pastels & neutral tones can be combined with a feature colour amongst your accessories to break it up, festival wear is very popular with satchels, small handbags & high sandals. They even included evening wear which can be turned from day to night with the simple change of accessories and colour matching.
After ogling at the stick thin models we had the opportunity to quiz Kim about her current collection, what she predicts for future trends, what she likes to read, and her previous experience in the fashion industry and how she got to be her own boss! We were even able to ask Elise about current fashion trends.
But the highlight of the night for me was yet to come, before the presentation ended Kim held a quick quiz for all to answer the best of 3 questions correct for the chance to win a Sportsgirl voucher. If you can answer the first your doing well; Firstly what was the Chanel bag chain originally used for? Clothing weights. Secondly, who discovered Kate Moss? Photographer Corinne Day, and lastly [very easy] which famous designer recently passed away? Alexander McQueen.
I was able answer the first 2 correct & they opened the floor up to rest of the girls for the last question. YAY and I received a $250 voucher to spend at any Sportsgirl on anything! Plus the bonus goodies bag!
A big thank you to Sportsgirl for the opportunity to attend and being able to meet and greet with Kim Ellery and Elise from Sportsgirl Chaddy. It was a great night and thoroughly enjoyed!
